Ken Reed – Candidate of WV Secretary of State

My name is Ken Reed and I was born and raised in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. After graduating from Brooke High School in 1986, I went on to get a degree in Pharmacy from West Virginia University. In 1992, I relocated to the eastern panhandle and began my career as a community pharmacist. In 1998 my wife and I opened our first pharmacy in Berkeley Springs, WV. Today we have four children and multiple businesses including five Reed’s Pharmacies in and around the Eastern Panhandle, and Canary Grill in Berkeley Springs.

In addition to my decades of experience in business, in 2016 I was elected to serve as county commissioner and began my career in public service. While serving as a commissioner, my duties included ensuring the accuracy of ballots and votes, economic development, and managing a multi-million-dollar budget. In 2020, I was elected to serve the 59th district in the House of Representatives (Morgan/Berkeley).

100% election integrity will be my top priority! Our office will aggressively pursue election fraud and work to prepare and fortify our elections against any threats posed by old or new technology. In addition, I will advocate for West Virginians by promoting legislation that stiffens penalties for any person or organization that seeks to defraud our citizens.

Opening and running a business is the dream of many West Virginians. As Secretary of State, I will never stop working to improve the experience for new and experienced business owners.
