I am a 2000 graduate of Marshall University with an associate degree in Police Science with continuing education for a Bachelors of Arts at Fairmont State University.  I am a Christian husband, happily married for over 14 years to my wife Angela having lived in Berkeley County for over a decade.  Together, we have five daughters, one of which we adopted out of a bad situation and requires special needs.  As a family, we really enjoy traveling to different campsites and enjoying time together.  I have over 14 yrs. as a Law Enforcement Officer between the Sheriffs Dept., State Police, Chief of Police and other municipal agencies.  I extremely enjoy teaching our fellow men and women in blue various techniques that contribute to their overall safety and increase their chances of surviving life-threatening situations.  I have been an Instructor for over 20 yrs. as a certified Instructor in the areas of Threat/Risk Assessments, Active Shooter Emergency Response, Emergency Vehicle Operations Driving, CQB Tactics, Firearms and Hand to Hand Self Defense.

Priorities:

  1. Safe Haven Exchange sites:  We live in an ever changing world of technology…….Let’s use if for the people.  These are sites that are monitored by 911 and provides video and incident information in “real-time”.
  2. Homeless H.E.L.P. Program (Homeless Enforcement & Learning Program).
  3. Tax Reduction/Reform for the Elderly and/or senior citizens.  As the chief Tax Collector of the County, I feel there are possible avenues to save those on fixed incomes from succumbing to increased costs of living.
  4. Tactical DRONE program:  To safeguard our Deputies in foot pursuits, our SWAT team with barricades situations, our Accident Reconstructionist with accidents and tutorials to educate our community, having drones to assist in officer safety and community education is something I plan on investing in.
  5. A FREE Community Education Program where we conduct tutorials on driving in inclement weather, how to navigate traffic circles, Firearms Safety and Handling and other needs in the community is a MUST.  A more educated community is a more resilient one.
  6. Creating a School Safety Initiative called “Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students).
