Mary Laing – Candidate for Berkeley County Magistrate

I am Mary Laing, and I would like to announce my candidacy to continue as Magistrate in Berkeley County. I have been employed by the West Virginia Supreme Court working in the Berkeley County Judicial Center since 1991.

I started as a Deputy Clerk then moved to the position of Magistrate Assistant. I worked as an assistant for over twenty years. During this time, I was learning all the necessary administrative duties of a Magistrate and learning many legal issues as they pertain to Magistrate Court.

In 2021 I became an assistant to a circuit court judge. On January 13, 2024, I was sworn in as a Magistrate in Berkeley County and would like to continue my service.

I look forward to continuing my service to the citizens of Berkeley County. I humbly ask that you vote Mary Laing for Magistrate in Division 4.
